Hello, beautiful souls here at Cosmic Updates. It’s your intuitive Tarot reader, Galena the Mystic, and I’m back again for another Weekend Love Tarot Reading. This time for the weekend of October 27th through the 29th, which is the weekend right before Halloween here in the Northern Hemisphere. So I had to get a little festive for you guys with the cat ears. And we have the Halloween Oracle to help guide us today. So let’s go ahead and get into it and see what messages we need to hear this weekend about love and relationships. 

Okay, we have High Priestess coming out reversed. Let’s get a few more. We have the Nine of Cups. I love to see that card. And we have the Four of Cups. Okay, so there’s a blessing here this weekend that maybe you’re not sensing some sort of wish is coming true with the Nine of Cups. This is pleasure, satisfaction. I know that some of you could be celebrating for the holiday if that’s your thing, but overall, the Nine of Cups brings us some sort of a wish fulfillment and some sort of personal happiness, something that we’ve longed for coming to fruition. However, with the Four of Cups and the High Priestess reversed, you could be feeling dissatisfied. And I’m actually seeing a vision of another card I have from a completely different deck, which is associated with the word: detox. And so it talks about just feeling like even though things are perfect, it might not be enough. So what is it that is bothering you? 

I feel like some of you could have been longing, yearning for something, and then it became apparent to you that this wasn’t enough to bring you fulfillment. I feel like Spirit has this larger message for us about romantic love not being the cure-all for our dissatisfaction in life. And that’s a pretty tough pill to swallow. Some of you might have this spiritual idea with the High Priestess reversed here, that if you just do the work, you will grow as a spiritual being and then you’ll become worthy of some sort of love as almost like a reward for the spiritual labor you’ve done and the emotional growth you’ve done. And I’m here to tell you, it just simply doesn’t work that way. And the gift of the spiritual journey is the fact that we get to be more conscious, we get to be more evolved, more enlightened, that we get to move through life with more self-awareness and more gratitude and appreciation for what we have. And so that should be the goal of your work. If you are doing this spiritual work in order to receive the love that you feel will complete you, I’m sorry to say, but that perfect relationship, that perfect person can come into your life because you can manifest them and then you can still feel the same. You can still feel dissatisfied with your life. And so it’s really important for you to find greater satisfaction in something that isn’t rooted in other humans. And if you put your happiness in other humans or other things that are faulty, you will end up feeling like maybe a little resentful, that’s kind of the word I’m getting, maybe a little resentful towards the universe of “Why haven’t you blessed me?” Or maybe they do give you exactly what it is that you want and you still feel dissatisfied. 

And maybe it’s because you haven’t placed your satisfaction in wow, Ten of Swords. Okay? Maybe because you haven’t placed your satisfaction in something that is a little bit more sustainable, The Tower. Okay. So yeah, there could be a lack of gratitude. Maybe you’re receiving a lack of gratitude from someone else as well. Okay, The Star, The Moon and The Empress. So yeah, Spirit’s saying, be grateful. Be really grateful for your circumstances right now, even if someone left you recently. With this Ten of Swords, Tower, if you’re going through some sort of breakup, I feel like this is because maybe this isn’t the reason someone broke up with you or the reason you broke up with someone else, but if there was a breakup for whatever reason, on a spiritual level, it seems that there was a lesson here about that relationship not being the cure for your dissatisfaction with life. And so maybe this wish here was some sort of illusion. And with The Star, this is coming up to be kind of clarified and healed, and it’s a bit of a sobering moment almost, like I’m almost getting the energy of Temperance even though that’s not here. But I love that we have the star coming out because The Star comes right after The Tower. Oops, sorry, I should be covering this.

The Star comes right after The Tower, and it’s all about the dust settling and being able to see the silver lining again, being able to see why the destruction needed to happen and finding hope and moving forward. So I’m here to say that if you place all of your value in this relationship and all of life’s meaning, if you attribute all of life’s meaning into this relationship, Spirit will take it away. And that’s not a threat. It’s just so that you can actually place your hope into something more solid and be more in alignment with your higher self who knows that this body is impermanent and the physical pleasures of life, like comfort, affection, intimacy. While those things are important and a very valid wish that can contribute to your wellbeing as a whole, it’s never going to replace your knowledge that you are much bigger than that and that you are expansive, you’re expansive, you’re a being that has the capacity to carry love and contribute love to the world on a greater level. Something about this Star, just giving that higher perspective sort of energy.

And with the Empress here, it’s really about knowing your value, understanding your purpose is much greater than how you relate to others. I’m hearing a force to be reckoned with. So I don’t know, maybe some of you are just reclaiming your personal power, and that’s what this Tower moment is all about. Yes, maybe some sacrifices have had to be made, some painful cycles have had to come to a close and maybe Spirit forced some doors shut. I’m also thinking about the New Moon in Libra Solar Eclipse that happened a little while back. So it could have been an energy that just completely closed out cycles for you and slammed doors shut permanently. Yes, that’s a very painful experience, but understand your power. Understand how much creativity is flowing through you. Even if you don’t think of yourself as an artist or a creative being, you’re inherently creative as a human, we’re always creating and destroying things. And so with the Star here, it’s about having that greater perspective and understanding that life goes on, especially with The Moon here and the High Priestess reversed, be more willing to surrender to cycles. It will make you a lot more flexible and it’ll make you a lot more comfortable so that when good things do come into your life and blessings come into your life, you can appreciate them without just clinging onto them or placing all of your value in them and then coming up disappointed over and over and over again. I feel like that’s the cycle that really needs to end.

And just so you know, we all do this. It’s human nature to do this. And so I think part of this faith with The Star that’s being restored, it also comes with a heavy dose of compassion here with this Ace of Cups that came out reversed. So have a lot of compassion for yourself. We’re going to get our cups refilled. Yes, we forget as humans, it’s our nature to forget the divine nature of our being, but we can always remember. And by spending time with Spirit and reconnecting with the things that actually fill our cups, we can become rejuvenated and move forward and manifest even better relationships or blessings that are even more sustainable and contribute more to our growth overall. That’s not to say they will last forever, but they’ll just be of a higher quality because we’ll know our worth and we’ll know our value, and we’ll know that it’s so much greater than whatever relationship dynamic we think will fix us.

Let’s go ahead and get into the Halloween Oracle. What do we need to know about this weekend, Spirit? Okay, Ghost; regret. Yeah, so we’re struggling sometimes with the energy of regret here. Some of you literally could have been ghosted, if that is the case, I’m so sorry, my heart is with you, and I know the pain of that and how it can trigger abandonment wounds. So that could be something you’re working through this weekend. You could also just be stewing on some of the mistakes that were made by you, by another person. And we’ve been talking a lot about forgiveness, so it is really important to lean into the energy of forgiveness. But more so than that this week, I feel like it’s an energy of surrender and just letting it go, really just letting it go. Understanding that these Tower moments, sometimes it feels like a storm that we’re weathering and it can be exhausting, but also I think we can have a little bit of relief that this storm cleared our path to make way for something even greater. And if something was also cleared out of your schedule recently, Spirit wants to talk about the time that you spend; using that time wisely. Spending some of that time maybe in prayer, if that’s something you want to do, maybe journaling, if that’s something that helps you.

Skeleton Strength. So yeah, there is some resilience here. Some of you could be feeling like, “I’m just so tired of having to be strong all the time. I’m so tired of having to be resilient.” But you really are so resilient. I feel like there’s a need to be proud of yourself because there’s a new level of detachment that you are beginning to adopt or that is available for you to adopt right now. So when you develop this new level of detachment and just a greater perspective that all things must come to an end, I think you will feel… Oh, I just got corrected! I’m sorry. All things come to an end but, the Spirit, your Spirit is infinite. And I feel like that’s what this Ghost and  Strength coming together is all about. Okay, wow. So this energy is pretty massive. I feel like this is really important. And yeah, I’m really receiving that this season, while it might come with some disappointments, it really is one of the most important chapters of your life because it’s where you develop more faith.

Barnbrack: sweetness and synergy. And then on top of the deck, we do have Forgiveness: releasing burden. So there could have been some people, relationships that, I’m sorry. I’m also hearing a message for those of you who are going on dates right now, really, I want to say really release your expectations. And I would say if you’re in the dating pool and you’re single, just casually meeting people and putting feelers out there, this might be one of those weekends where you want to pull back and just spend a little bit more time at your altar, spend a little bit more time at your temple, spend a little bit more time with family, spend a little time with yourself.

Love, relationships are hard work. You might be with this sweetness and synergy. You might be accessing sweetness in your life that is less romantic sometimes. And that can be one of the highest expressions of love is platonic love. So understand that romantic relationships do come with a level of sometimes hard work and burden that maybe not all of us are actually ready for or maybe that’s why you manifest it and then realize that it’s not quite as sweet as what you wanted it to be, okay? But, the highest form of love is the unconditional love of the universe that we all can have access and tap into. So that is what we’re doing. 

And then we have Hearth underneath that. And I just really want to point this out. This is making me think of the Goddess Vesta, so maybe you need to research the Goddess Vesta. She was represented by the Hearth, okay? She swore to remain a virgin for all of her life as long as she didn’t have to get married. And so there’s something here about keeping yourself warm and understanding how sweet and healing that can be, how easy that can be, and how Spirit will meet you there. Wherever it is, Spirit’s going to meet you there. Okay? So I hope this helps.
