You Deserve Better | Weekend Love Reading | 5/13 – 5/15

Hello Tarot Friends,

This is Jonathan with your Weekend Love Reading.

Are you feeling the exciting and possibly painful need for change?

This weekend’s reading is filled with the undertones of transformation and truth. So there could be big changes coming to your relationship.

Or if you are single, this weekend could bring a major shift in how you are choosing to relate to others.

Either way, something important is happening in your love life.

You’ll want to pay close attention to this one, because these aren’t quick or easy decisions on the table. So let’s take a look at how you can work with the love energies showing up for you over the coming days.

Card #1: The Empress | A Juicy Connection

The Empress represents sensuality, fertility, and creativity. When it comes to love, The Empress is a powerful, nurturing card that might represent a stable relationship or perhaps a love interest who adores you and wants to love you up.

The Empress is all about embodied sensuality, and unbridled creativity.

If you’re single, this could be a sign it’s time to step into The Empress’ shoes, and (regardless of your gender) get in touch with your deep, feminine creativity.

It’s also possible there is someone who wants to devour you with their love. They simply can’t help but want to love you in every way possible.

On the other hand, if you’ve been intentionally single for a while, The Empress is a sign you can start planting the seeds of what kind of relationship you want by sending your prayers and fantasies to the Universe.

Don’t be surprised if you start feeling the sparks of excitement and desire coming to the surface in the coming days.

On the other hand, if you’re in a relationship, The Empress might indicate a growing warmth between you and your beloved.

If you’re not already in a strong committed bond, that process could begin to deepen.

The Empress is fertility and fecundity incarnate, meaning everything is growing, ripening, and blooming. If you’ve been trying to get pregnant this could be the moment you’ve been waiting for.

If you’re not wanting to get pregnant, be sure to use extra precautions this weekend, because life is bursting with erotic and sensual ripeness.

Just like all cards, The Empress has a shadow side as well. The Empress can represent chaotic growth and the smothering side of love.

And your next card may be a sign there is something in your life, perhaps related to this kind of love, that is no longer giving you what you want.

Card #2: Eight Of Cups | Shifting Your Focus

Are you ready for something new?

The Eight of Cups symbolizes letting go, abandonment, and a desire to seek out the truth. In the context of a love reading, the Eight of Cups could be a sign it’s time to ask yourself some hard questions.

As you can see in the card image, a man is setting off towards the mountains, leaving behind what appears to be a stagnant body of water.

The water is no longer flowing, so he is off to look for fresh and flowing waters. Perhaps he will bring back what he finds, but it’s also possible he will stay in the new place.

If you’re single right now, you could be coming to the end of a particular phase in your life. The moon above the man has both the crescent and the full moon symbols, letting you know it has been a long phase, rather than a short one.

Something regarding the way you’ve been relating to love, romance, or partnership, has played itself out. Perhaps it gave you a lot of joy at one point in time, but it’s simply no longer nourishing you in the way you desire.

The Eight of Cups implies that you may not necessarily know what you will find if you leave the familiar territory behind. So ultimately there are no promises.

Not knowing for sure could be particularly challenging to navigate if you are in a relationship right now. The Eight of Cups in this instance is a sign you could be questioning your commitment to the person you are with.

This is totally healthy and normal. Even if you’re absolutely in love with the person you are with, you might find yourself doing some hard thinking and feeling regarding if they are the person you want to grow old with or not.

Sometimes the Eight of Cups can indicate an intentional retreat away from your partner – and maybe even the world – to be with yourself.

Moving away from what is comfortable often comes as a result of desiring a deeper truth. So at the end of the day, you may be seeking a deeper spiritual connection with yourself and with life.

Of course it’s also possible you are ready to move on from the person you’ve been with. Not necessarily because it’s a bad relationship, but because you’re ready for something new.

That willingness to move on could be a sign of your growth and maturity. But your next card is a sign it will be important to really feel into what wants to happen next before you make any big decisions.

Card #3: Four Of Cups | Are You Over It?

The Four of Cups is a sign of melancholy, contemplation, and might indicate you are feeling bored in your love life.

The Four of Cups in a love reading could be a sign you’re a little exasperated by your current situation. If you’re single, you might feel like there is nobody out there for you.

No matter who you meet, it’s just not the match you are wanting.

You might also be consciously taking time to heal from a relationship that ended. Either way, it can be healthy to take time away to restore yourself and gain insight.

That being said, the Four of Cups could be a sign it’s time to pay attention to what’s around you, and not get lost in a story about the past.

In the card image a young man sits beneath a tree staring longingly at the three cups before him. He is far away from the city, which might mean you are feeling isolated or distant from others.

You might remember that the Three of Cups is all about celebration, joy, and accomplishment. So the young man is reminiscing on a time when things were more festive and lively.

If you’re in a relationship right now, this could symbolize sadness or disappointment that the “honeymoon phase” has come to an end, or that you’re thinking about the good times which may now seem far away.

Whether you are single or in a committed relationship, it’s important to remember the significance of the fourth cup in the card image.

The fourth cup is being offered by a mysterious hand in the sky, but the young man doesn’t seem to notice it. Instead, he’s focused on what used to be.

This is a reminder to pick your head up and look around. You might be so caught in the past, or in a story of your own making that you’re missing what’s right in front of you.

You might ask yourself, what is the reality of my situation right now? Am I seeing things clearly?

If we consider your first two cards, there is a good chance something is ready to shift in your life. If you are single, you might be ready to try a different approach to love – perhaps one that feels a little alien to you at first.

Just remember to take in your surroundings, because you have grown, and there are new ways of going about things. Which also means there are new kinds of connections available as well.

If you’re in a relationship, the reading is making it clear you are wanting to bring in some fresh air. This could look like a longer respite from your partner, or a readiness to move on all together.

Either way, there is a freshness available to you this weekend if you’re willing to lift up your head and take a look around at what’s newly available to you.

Growing Pains

The pain of growing and evolving can be a real annoyance on the path of love and relationship, particularly if you are with someone who isn’t growing in the same way as you.

Whether you are single or in a committed relationship, The Empress may be a sign there is love and fertility available to you. However there may also be a sense of chaos and suffocation.

Even the best relationships have the need for some fresh air and new perspectives. Your second card, the Eight of Cups, is a sign you might be ready to seek out some higher ground, or even to move on from your current situation.

You may leave for good, or return with new insights, either way it might benefit you to find some solitude to look inward for a bit. Your third card, the Four of Cups, could indicate that boredom or melancholy that has set in.

Spending some time on your own to get clear about how you are feeling could be highly beneficial. And if you’re willing to take a look around beyond the sadness or uncertainty, you might find there is something new being offered that could balance out what you are experiencing now.

All said and done, there is important growth happening this weekend that will ultimately lead to more clarity and fulfillment down the line.

With love,

And in service,

Jonathan Lionheart

I feel that this part of today’s article is especially important to me now.
Exactly I was worried about for a long time looking at the three cups in front of me.
But you told me the existence of a fourth cup that I was unaware of.
From now on, I will raise my face and think about what the fourth cup represents.

    Thank You!

It seems more often then not the weekly readings I get have been exactly on point with all that’s going on in my life. Kind of ironic. My ex-fiance and I broke up nearly 3 yrs ago. He was and will for always be the love of my life. In the beginning it appeared we would resolve our differences. Sadly that didn’t happen. I’ve been loyal and broken . Lately I’ve been considering leaving where I’ve lived my entire life, 53 yrs away. I guess away to try and attempt to find and save myself. Thank you <3

My current situation is not good at all. He just won’t go away.
When it started 5 years ago… I really thought I could help him become a better person because I had some of the same obnoxious traits when I was very young. But…I was wrong. He continues to be the most spoiled, selfish, self righteous Dick I have ever encountered. He’s even worse than I could have ever imagined. He has no concept of give and take. He just takes and takes and acts as if he deserves it when in reality…he deserves nothing, I owe him nothing,,,, I’m so done. How can I get him to leave???? Gonna drive me to …….. lol. He has no sense of direction….. maybe he’ll get lost!!!!! 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

Any advice for me??? His Libra—-don’t wanna make waves approach to life….how phony and fake.
I’m real…. I’ll go out of my way to rock the boat…. But not in a mean way…. Just to keep things interesting and have something fun to think about.
    Riding the wave…..

    Love,
    Jody

The Four of Cups is so “me” right now, but also spending time on my own to get more clarity doesn’t sound so bad either! Love your readings and guidance. Thank you and happy Friday the 13th!
