TRANSCRIPT:

Hi there, friends. Today we’re going to be looking at your shadow elements. These are the things that might be holding you back that you may or may not be aware of. Generally, the parts of ourselves that are hidden in the shadow are parts that we’re not conscious of and can be creating all kinds of trouble, whether it’s in our relationships, in our progress through life, finances, all kinds of different things. So we’re going to look at what’s hidden right now, how it’s affecting your life, and how you can begin to integrate this particular piece. If you want to grab a reading from me, you can do so down below. You can also check out what else I’m up to.

I do work one on one with people in groups with integration so that they can live more of their true self and continue to realize higher dimensions of their being. So let’s jump right into this reading about the hidden shadow.

Take good care wherever you happen to be right now. Give yourself a moment to take a few deep breaths. Allow yourself to drop into this particular moment. Notice if you can sense your body, your emotions, maybe the ground beneath you. So we’re going to look into the shadow today and I’m going to tune in with everyone. And the first card that I’m going to pull has to do with which aspect of your shadow is hidden from your view. So just give me a moment to tune in. Alright, so which aspect of your shadow is hidden from your view? So your first card regarding which part of your shadow is hidden is the third Three of Pentacles.

And the Three of Pentacles is all about collaboration, working together, having a common goal that you can work with others on, sharing your skills, being willing to listen to other aspects. So the way this might show up as a shadow part, a part of yourself that maybe is unconscious and that can cause some trouble in your life, is having trouble working together with others, feeling like there’s some sort of external pressure or not being able to trust the people around you to have your best interest in mind. This can look like feeling jealous of others. It can look like feeling like you’re the odd one out, like you don’t necessarily belong with others.

It can come up as big or deep insecurities around your own abilities, where you feel like you kind of have to hide the parts of yourself that you’re ashamed of or that you don’t know. For people that are a bit more introverted, this can look like isolation, trying to be a lone wolf. For people that are a little bit more extroverted. This can look like trying to control the project or control others or be the one that’s in charge. It can have a lot of conflict and challenge in the system. So this is an aspect that you might have inside of yourself where you don’t feel like you quite resonate or click when you’re working together with others, trying to create something. For some of you, it might show up as a know-it-all, having to be the one that is right.

And for others, it can show up as just not trusting the people that are around you and saying, you know what? I better just do this myself, because I don’t necessarily trust the people that are in my sphere. And this can show up with partners, romantic partners in your workspace, environment, family members, all these types of things. So our second card that we’re going to look into is the trigger. So what it is that tends to trigger this shadow aspect to come forward. Most people with their shadow pieces, it’s kind of in the background. It’s something that’s unconscious. And even if it’s influencing some of our life, at times, it erupts into your world. And this is what people say, like, I’m triggered right now, or we kind of get lost in ourselves.

So let’s take a look at what it is that triggers this particular shadow piece inside of yourself. So this makes a lot of sense. The Six of Swords is about rough and bumpy transitions when we’re needing to go from one place to another. And it’s happening in a very unstable way, it’s happening in a way that’s pushing on our insecurities or making us afraid for our lives or for our livelihood, it’s chaotic, tempestuous situations. So, pretty clear cut here.

When there’s a challenging transition happening your life, whether that’s just a change in the life cycle that you’re going through, and it’s bringing up some instability or fear, or if it’s something bigger, like moving to a new place, changing jobs, maybe changing a project of some kind or a change in your relationship status, it creates the kind of instability and insecurity that brings up some of this mistrust, this sense that we can’t rely on others. I can’t rely on these people. I have to do it myself, or I have to control this situation. Otherwise, it’s not going to get done, or it’s going to get done in a way that is going to cut me out in some way. So that makes a lot of sense for most people. When there are big transitions happening.

It’s very common for the shadow aspects to sort of peek out. Our third card has to do with the impact that this particular shadow aspect has on our life, maybe our health and our relationships. So let’s take a look at what we have here. Again, this makes a lot of sense. Our Five of Swords has to do with the kind of conflicts that leave a bitter taste in your mouth. Conflicts that don’t necessarily get resolved. They end up creating more resentment. Sometimes there’s a dangerous power differential where one person has more power the other than the other, or there’s like a power struggle that starts to happen. It’s the type of thing that can undermine relationships, it can undermine working relationships. It can undermine our health in a pretty intense way as well, because it’s the kind of thing that festers.

It’s like unspoken challenge that just kind of burns inside of our system, and we end up sort of creating a grudge that we walk around with. I think it’s the Buddha that says, you know, something along the lines of having hate for others is quite foolish because you’re basically just poisoning yourself. When we hold resentment, when we hold undigested anger or frustration, the only thing that it’s doing is creating all kinds of pain and discomfort and negative thinking inside of ourselves. So here we have so far that when there are big transitions, something shifting these insecurities about trusting others, trusting people have your best interest in mind, can create pretty nasty conflicts.

Conflicts where you might be fighting with people over small things or saying things that you didn’t mean, or feeling like life is being unfair to you, feeling like the people around you are taking advantage of you. And this can. This is a very challenging thing to sort of get out of once it starts going in a relationship. So let’s take a look at how you can integrate this particular shadow piece. Because these parts of ourselves that are unconscious when they start to integrate, release a lot of potential energy. They allow us to stop being stuck somewhere in our life, and new creative energy can come forward, even new gifts and new possibilities in our life. It is definitely the case that when you integrate a big chunk of some trauma or a shadow aspect, that literally people’s lives change.

New doors open, new possibilities start to happen. So let’s take a look at what the cards say about how you can integrate this particular shadow piece. So the Ace of Wands is about brand new creative energy. It’s getting in touch with the part of yourself that is regenerative, creative, capable of sparking up new interests and ideas.

So one way that you might start to integrate this particular shadow piece is to express yourself creatively, to get in touch with the part that gets jostled or afraid and find a way to express it, whether that’s through song or dance or artwork, or if you have somebody that you can talk to that is open and they’re not going to just immediately try to fix you, but are willing to just hear you out and you can be fully clear and honest with them, these are great ways to start to unlock this part of yourself, being deeply honest with what’s there. Another piece that’s really helpful here is to get in touch with what it is that initially inspires you in these types of collaborative situations, whether it’s a relationship or something you’re working on with others, or even just a group dynamic.

What is it that makes you excited about that in the first place and start focusing on that more. Make that the driving force. So when you start to find yourself going, I can’t trust these people, or oh gosh, I need to control this. Bring some of your attention back to what is it that really excites me about this? And you might do some journaling, you might speak it out loud, but finding ways to reorient yourself towards what’s exciting, what’s new, what’s fresh. The last thing that’s here that wants to be spoken about with the Ace of Wands is checking in with yourself. Are the collaborations in your life, are these serving you, or are you staying with them because you feel obligated?

Are the people that are in your life, the situations in your life, are you doing that because you want to, or are you doing it because you feel like you have to? And this can be a sign that it’s helpful. What are some new things you can start to create in your life that will help you get excited again? This type of excitement will ultimately bring some of these things to the surface, but now that you know what this particular shadow piece is, you will be able to work with it in a new way. And sometimes it’s helpful to have a new context. If it’s time for you to move on and start a new project or move into a different work environment or relationship, that can be some fresh air.

The shadow won’t disappear, but it gives you a new set of people, a new set of characters, a new set of circumstances to start to work on it consciously. So thank you so much for tuning in with me. As always, I love connecting with you, and I look forward to connecting again in the future. Take good care.

Hi, Jonathan ~~ I loved your reading. I have very real ‘shadows’ following me around. I appreciate your telling us how to handle the situation. The reason I haven’t been able to listen to these readings for a very long time, is my qeek squad had to fix a scam that happened about six months ago. But then I saw that they blocked you along with the sammers. So, I got them to give this site back to me. It’s good to see you. I see that you have grown spiritually and are more confident in expressing yourself. Good work!! Thank you for being here!
