It Can Only Get Better | Weekend Love Reading | 6/10 - 6/12
Hello Tarot Family,  This is Jonathan with your Weekend Tarot Love Reading.  Something is getting in the way, and it’s time to step through the fire and go after what you want. If you’re experiencing a particularly complex situation in your love life right now, it could be coming to a head very soon.  But not to worry, you’ll have the courage and clarity to find your way through.  First, you’re going to have to wrangle with the emotions that might be locking you in.  Once you do, the path ahead could feel clear and crisp.  Let’s take a look at what’s ahead for you in the realm of love.

Card #1: Five Of Cups | Picking Up The Pieces

The Five of Cups symbolizes grief, loss, and discontent. When it comes to a love reading, the Five of Cups could be a sign you are in a period of sadness after a loss of some kind.  You might find yourself reminiscing about someone who is no longer in your life in the days to come. If you’ve recently broken up with someone, the grief could feel like it’s surrounding and consuming you. You likely don’t want to stay in the sadness, but moving forward could also feel very challenging.  Because of these push-pull emotions you may feel distracted and confused.   The man in the card image is focused on three cups which have spilled over. There remain two cups standing and full, but he doesn’t seem to notice or want to pay attention to them.  It’s important to be aware of what is still intact in your current situation, because there is a possibility of salvaging what remains.  The Five of Cups suggests the possibility of moving forward to brighter and more peaceful times.  All is not lost. When the man in the card is ready, he can pick up the two remaining cups, traverse the river before him, and make his way to the house on the other side.  But sometimes grief can start to feel normal and even become comfortable in some sense. As they say, the devil you know might feel safer than the devil you don’t.  The truth is you won’t know what’s ahead of you until you are willing to let go and move forward.  So when you are ready, mourn what needs mourning and then pick the pieces and get moving.  If you’re in a relationship, you might be experiencing a prickly time with your partner. You could be fighting more than usual, or there could be a bigger rift that is causing you a lot of sorrow. If things are temporarily in a bad place, then focusing on what’s good and what’s worth salvaging is your best bet. Clear and honest communication about why you feel hurt can go a long way.  On the other hand, if you’re in a situation where you need to move on before the remaining two cups spill, consider the consequences of not taking action to protect yourself.  The Five of Cups can also indicate a need for sacrifice. If there is something you truly want, you might have to let go of something else that has been important to you.  This kind of sacrifice is not easy, but if you are committed and know what you want, there might be something you can let go of in order to get it. Your next card is a sign of collaborative efforts that could produce more closeness, or may symbolize the sacrifice you need to make.

Card #2: Three Of Pentacles | Is Three A Crowd?

The Three of Pentacles represents collaboration, shared goals, and a willingness to learn. In a love reading, the Three of Pentacles could be a sign of love in the workplace, or creating a shared project with your current partner.  The Three of Pentacles is all about pooling your efforts with others to accomplish a shared vision. So finding a love connection with someone you work with is in the realm of possibility.  That being said, all “threes” in the Minor Arcana can symbolize a love triangle when they appear in a love reading.  If you are single, this could look like two possible partners you are having trouble choosing between. The Three of Pentacles encourages communication and collaboration, so being upfront and honest with everyone involved will be your best bet to navigate the situation.  On the other hand, if you’re in a relationship, it’s possible that someone else shows up who creates complicated feelings for you. This could be someone who pulls your attention from your current relationship, or someone your partner is distracted by.   On a bright note, the Three of Pentacles could be inviting you to work together with your partner on a project of some kind. Finding a common goal both of you can get behind may bring you closer.  Coming together as a team can cause a powerful synergy in your love life, so think about what you’d like to create.   If we consider your first card, the Five of Cups, it’s possible a sacrifice needs to be made. If there is a third person involved, you might have to let someone go.  Ask yourself what you truly desire. Write a list of pros and cons. Whatever you choose, your next card is a sign you will need courage and integrity to be able to follow the truth of your heart.

Card #3: Strength | Fire, Passion, And Truth

The Strength card symbolizes courage, compassion, and inner power. In a love reading, the Strength card may indicate a passionate or even fiery relationship.  Often the Strength card shows up when there is a lot of heat in your relationship or love life. This can look like attraction and desire but also a lot of arguing.  If you’re in a relationship, the two of you might be swinging between the polarities of love and hate. One of you might be very tender and compassionate, and the other might be more angry and volatile.  The way forward is to emphasize patience, inner knowing, and to bring out as much compassion and understanding as you can. The lion, which represents raw emotions and desires, is only brought under control through gentleness and patience.  So it’s advisable to slow down. Slow down your conversations, slow down your words, even slow down your love making. Creating space for compassion and clarity could inspire both understanding and magnetic attraction.  If you’re single right now, the Strength card is inviting you to connect your higher wisdom with your more primal nature. The parts of you that feel unloved or unloveable need your attention and patience.  Give yourself the kind of compassion, gentleness, and attention you want from a lover. Self massage, kind self-talk, and affirmations of gratitude and care are called for here.  The more you can bring these qualities into your relationship with yourself, the more you become available for those qualities in someone else to find you.  Ultimately, it appears there could be some important decisions on the table for you right now. The Strength card has arrived to remind you to align with what is most true for you, and to be patient and kind as you move in the direction that best suits you.  You know what is true for you, so find the courage to begin heading in that direction.

Aligning With Love

Whether you are single or in a relationship this week’s reading holds the key to the next step in your love life.  Your first card, the Five of Cups, is a sign you could be dwelling on old feelings of loss or abandonment. You might also need to make an important sacrifice.  Either way, in the final analysis, you’re going to want to look around for what remains, what’s beautiful in your life, and then pick up the pieces and move on.  Your second card, the Three of Pentacles, could be a sign you’re experiencing a love triangle. Whether you’re the one smitten with another, or it’s your partner who’s got wandering eyes, something needs to be resolved here.  You could also be on the edge of meeting someone in your work environment, or getting ready to start a project with your partner.  The Strength card, your final card in this week’s reading, could indicate a passion filled relationship that requires patience and care.
