26 Aug It’s Time To Focus | Weekly Tarot Reading | 8/27 – 9/2
Have you been feeling pulled in several different directions lately?
Deco says this weekend could bring up a need to let go of so you can focus on what you want to manifest in the coming season.
She’s here to help you get perspective on the past and embrace the future with open arms.
P.S. Have you been feeling overwhelmed by having too many choices? Not sure which direction to go? Leave a comment and let Deco know!
Hello my friends. It is Deco back again for a weekly reading this time for the week of August 20th through the 26th, which means, guys, it is just about Virgo season. My Virgo friends. I know you guys; if I think about a Virgo, I think about some of the most independent, interesting people that I’ve ever met. You guys are very like understated extroverts, which is interesting. You know, I, I’d say like people’s first idea of what a Virgo looks like is someone that’s really shy. But when I think of a Virgo, I think of someone who’s standing on tables at, at the club, you know, <laugh> like that is my thought of a Virgo. They have this unique energy about them, and I think it brings in a unique energy of the season. So let’s be thinking, guys, how do we enter this season with positivity?
What do we need to know? Entering Virgo season this week and closing out Leo season? Love me a Leo, you know? All right. Let’s see. So guys, this is interesting because I’m seeing that we’re going through some tough stuff, but I see that we’re working towards some positivity, right? So we might be feeling like the things that we’ve worked for or not working the way that we wanted them to. We’ve got some disappointment this week, or definitely some comparative kind of behavior where we’re looking really hard at what other people are doing instead of being boosted by our own abilities and our own abundance that we’ve been working for. Okay?
So the Nine of Pentacles is in reverse with the five of cups upright. The ultimate disappointment with that comparative kind of negativity, right? It’s like you have this abundance, you have this incredible, um, work ethic, and you have this payoff that you’ve worked for, and for some reason you just keep looking at other people and thinking: “But look at their journey. Theirs is better than mine. Theirs is different than mine, and I like theirs better, and I want mine to look like theirs, and I think that this person has this and I want that.”
And, you know, it’s like, it’s this, this crazy back and forth where we’re just feeling like we aren’t getting the things that we really wanted, and we’re instead looking at the things that are left in the past with us, right? Instead of what we’re bringing with us, there’s too much comparison. And now The High Priestess is super important, especially since she’s in reverse. It’s like all of these negative thoughts in your head, all of this comparison. It’s just, that’s too much happening around us. We’re too, there’s too much noise around us. There’s too many distractions for us to realize all of the wonderful things that we have, all of these wonderful things that we’re working for, the, the successes that we have, instead of the losses that we have, right?
It’s like there’s, there’s not this connection with like, what, what is valuable to us anyway? And so it’s hard for us to realize that the things that we have are worth being thankful for, right? So the Nine of Cups is also hiding in this reading, and this is where it’s not hiding, it’s right here. Um, is is in this reading and it’s saying that we’re working toward our dream. We’re working toward this goal that we’ve had for ourself for a long time, or maybe this emotional state that we’ve been craving or even a spiritual or creative state that we’ve been, um, going toward. And I think that we have to remember that we have to keep in touch with that side of ourself that tells us what our dream was and what our dream remains, right?
So how do we move into this chapter and claim this energy? How do we reconnect with ourself? I think that’s what we really need to be focused on, is like, how do we remember what we’re capable of? What do we need to do to reconnect with our higher self, with our spirituality, with the things that we know are true about ourselves instead of the doubts that we have, right? Like, we need to reconnect and we need to think about what we need to do to do that. Let’s find out together, okay?
How do we reconnect it? We overcome some obstacles. First of all, we have to be real with ourselves. We’re right in the middle of a journey right now. I know we’re talking about exiting Leo season and entering Virgo season, but there’s this weird state that we’re in where we’re not being really real with ourselves, authentic with ourselves about what’s getting in our way. And I really think that we’re letting things get in our way. We’ve got a lot of Wands energy and not necessarily positive Wands energy. It’s like the fire is put out, there is no fire here. And part of it is that I think you’re putting a lot of weight once again on other people’s ideas or opinions or, or views of you, right?
So the Six of Wands is in reverse, first of all. And the Six of Wands being in reverse is saying that like, we’re very much taking on the negative ideas of the people around us, right?
If they have something negative to say about us, we believe that where we are very focused on positive affirmation with the Six of Wands. It’s like, well, you’re getting all of the praise. It’s like the Six of Wands; we’re feeling a little bit of ignored when it’s in reverse or feeling like people are judging us instead of noticing us for all the amazing things that we’re capable of doing, right? We’ve also got the five of wands in reverse. And the Seven of Wands really, we have this journey with the five, six, and seven. The Five of Wands in reverse is like struggling to fight, right? We’re letting the things that are happening around us and the elements that are out of our control kind of take over and manipulate, not manipulate, but like dictate how we move forward and how we’re willing to fight.
But more than anything, I think that we’re just struggling to fight. We’re struggling to show up and do the good things that we need to do in order to have success in the long run. Don’t mind the cap. The Seven of Wands being in reverse is saying that there are other, again, other people’s opinions that are getting in our way, right? Where the Six of Wands is feeling. Um, the good news coming toward us, the Seven of Wands, is then us being able to say, Hey, we’ve got this platform. Let’s make ourselves heard. But it’s the opposite here. We’ve got this negativity. And so now we’re focused on the negative things that people have to say and taking on too much of what they believe we need to be doing. And the Seven of Swords being in reverse, my friends, the number one word I have for that card is honesty.
But specifically being honest with yourself. What is getting in your way? What individual things are you allowing to keep you from fighting to let other people’s opinions inform your path, to let other people’s negative view of you tell you that you’re not capable of something and like to lose your steam? Like, why are you letting those people’s ideas get in your way of really putting in your best effort? Okay? Now I think there’s a lot for us to overcome again, ’cause we’re trying to reconnect. And I think that among that reading, we can also look at it as a challenge, right? We can be thinking, okay, so we’re letting negative talk affect us.
How do we not let that affect us? Well, we don’t take their ideas personally ’cause they don’t know where we’re coming from. Um, or maybe we’re not getting any and we think, okay, well I’m gonna talk about positive affirmations.
I’m gonna start affirming myself because other people aren’t doing it right? Oh, that person’s negative opinion is getting in my way. I’m not gonna listen to their opinion. I’m only gonna listen to my opinion and let that be my guiding force. Oh, I’m losing my steam. How do I regain my passion? What do I need to do? Right? So these are the challenges that we’re facing that we need to be real with ourself about, right? That Seven of Swords in reverse was saying, let’s be honest, let’s think what is actually getting in our way? Are we just pulling the wool over our own eyes because we’re too proud to admit that our own self-perception is getting in our way?
Let’s find out what do we need to do? How do we claim this? How do we overcome these obstacles in, in this week so that we can, again, start fresh, look at this as a portal into a new opportunity for us.
Well, my friends, we manifest, we look at this as an opportunity. Two tens in reverse. Yes, we look at this as an opportunity to move into the next chapter that we want to invest in and making it the chapter that we want it to be with this Queen of Wands. Ace of Pentacles, new Beginning. That’s a long journey. One that we’re going to invest in over time. Queen of Wands, the manifester, someone who is able to take an idea and turn it into something, right? They take the idea, they act on it. Here’s the success. The Queen of Wands did it. Now the 10 of Wands and the 10 of Swords being in reverse are saying that while the last ending might be a little over the top, specifically because maybe you had to set some boundaries with people that weren’t treating you well, right?
I do think that it’s also going to feel like a weight lifted, understanding that putting up boundaries with people that make us question ourselves or make us feel less valued or whatever it is, it’s so important that, um, we confront those things so that we can feel like a, like a weight is lifted and so that we can focus on our own needs instead of putting weight on our shoulders that belongs to someone else. Right? Let’s set some limits, let’s set some boundaries and focus on what comes next for us.
My friends, best of luck this week. I think we have, again, a lot to look forward to, a lot to overcome and a lot to tackle on our own. But as long as you’re honest with yourself and honest about your behaviors, I think that you’ve got a lot to look forward to this week. Best of luck and I will see you next time.
