Hello my friends. It is Deco, back again this time with a weekly reading for the week of August 13th through 19th. We are nearly to Virgo season. We are right at the tail end of Leo season. I love me and Leo. I hope you guys had a really wonderful season. I love that your season is one of the warmest where I am.
So anyway, my friends, I think we have a lot to look forward to in this transition. As you know, I look at all of these changes in season and Zodiac and all of these things as opportunities for New beginnings, but this week what I want to think about is how do we close out chapters strong? What do we need to know in ending some things this week so that we can be ready for what comes next for us? What endings might we face?
How do we overcome those challenges? Let’s see, my friends. So I do see that we are overcoming some pretty painful endings, guys. Okay, so the three of Swords is here, and the Three of Swords is about dealing with loss. Honestly, when we look at the journey of the swords, the Two of Swords is about fear and being fearful for what comes next. And the Three of Swords is like that fear coming true, something happening that was really painful, that was hard to overcome. That’s really lingering in us too, and I think that this is something that has thrown us off of our balance. The Two of Pentacles is in reverse here. We’re really struggling to make decisions. We’re really struggling to balance all of our responsibilities because of this loss, this thing that’s taking over our headspace and The Devil is also here. The Devil is about something in our life that has chained us.
If we look at the image of this card, it shows two people with chains around their neck. But if you look a little closer, you realize that the chains are very loose. That this is something that if they just opened their eyes or looked at their shackles, that they’d be able to see that, oh, if I just slip this off and walk away, this doesn’t control me anymore.
So when The Devil’s upright, it’s like we’re struggling to see those things that are holding us back, those things that are in our way. It could be addiction, it could be obsession. It could be a really bad habit. It could be you coming home at the end of the day and scrolling on the apps instead of going and doing the things that need to get done. It could be going and gaming instead of paying your bills.
That’s an extreme example, but it can be so many things. It can be little things, it can be giant things, but really it’s something that with a change of mindset, mind you, that is a much easier phrase to say than something to actually do in your life, but with a different mindset. You would be over to overcome whatever it is that the devil has to offer, whatever it is that’s getting in your way.
Addiction is a big example of that. With the right mindset, you can overcome any addiction with the right mindset, you can change any habit with the right mindset, you can get rid of things in your life that are keeping you from being able to show up and move forward and find balance. Right now, here’s what I’m seeing. You have things to fight for you guys. The Seven of Wands is telling me that you know what you believe in and you know what you’re here to fight for this week.
And I think that as long as you are stepping up for you and making your voice heard, I think that’s going to be a giant first step. Because some of what this might be is other people putting ideas in your head that are not helping you to move forward. It might be enabling from other people in your life. And with the Seven of Wands in this reading, it’s telling me that you need to step up for you.
You need to make your voice heard and be willing to debate with people and maybe even have an argument, a little confrontation about like, okay, this is what I believe. Tell me why you believe what you believe so that we can have a conversation. But understand that you are steadfast in your beliefs and that you are steadfast in what you need for yourself. And just because other people have opinions of what needs to be changed doesn’t mean that it needs to affect your own decision-making skills.
You can stand up for yourself through this difficult chapter. Now, obviously we have some things to overcome. We have some hurdles that we need to get over that we have to surmount. So what we need to be thinking is like how do we find this balance that we were missing in that this Two of Pentacles in reverse? How do we overcome this pain? How do we overcome these things in our life that are keeping us from moving forward?
We already know that we need to stand up for ourselves with that Seven of Wands and be willing to fight back. But we also now need to think what else can we do? What can we do to make sure we’re overcoming this devil in our life? What do we need to do this pain that we’re dealing with? Man, that Three of Swords,
Okay, there’s some challenges coming you guys. I think that this might be a week, and I hate to say it like this, but I think that this is a week that might be overwhelming and sometimes that just happens. I’m just going to say it. The thing about the tower, even when we go through these big, crazy overwhelming things, falling apart moments, it’s always an opportunity for us to start fresh. We were thinking about endings this week.
We’re thinking about how do we tie up those loose ends and think about how we’re ready for the next step. And part of it is going through the big heavy things that devil ironically in the story of the fool, The Devil comes first and the tower follows. So it’s interesting that we had the devil in that last reading and the towers here. Now it is saying, yes, we have these things that are getting in our way of living our best life.
And you might crumble and fall. You might feel like everything is slipping through your fingers, and all of these things that you’ve built and worked for are falling down around you. But often what that means is that there wasn’t a firm foundation. Anyway, The Devil shows us that there are cracks. The Tower is when those cracks finally give. So what we need to think is, okay, we’ve built this tower on not so great foundations. We’ve got these things getting in our way. So now start trying.
Wow, it’s time for us to start fresh. It’s time for us to think of how we pick up the pieces and build a stronger future for ourselves. Now I see some positivity coming with us. I see that we have the Wheel of Fortune, which again is about cycles. It’s about the fact that we know that there’s good in our life, but that bad things might come and that the wheel is just going to keep turning and that life is not all good or all bad.
It’s all about the balance. And that wheel turning right now that’s telling me that right now we just need to have a positive mindset. I think that’s a huge important thing for us, but it’s also a sign of good things to come. Despite the fact that we’ve got the tower in here, the Wheel of Fortune is saying, we’ve got better things coming for us. And the Two of Wands, the Two of Wands is about planning for those new beginnings, about looking at unique novel opportunities for ourselves in moving forward with plans with other people coming together.
The twos are all about coming together with people. So we’ve got some opportunity here for Fresh Beginnings. We might struggle a little bit, and here’s where I think we might struggle, and I think part of it is that we went through this Tower moment is this Ace of Pentacles, which is in reverse.
Guys, the Ace of Pentacles and the Pentacles in general. They’re tied to earth, which of all of our elements, when you think of how they all move, when we think of Earth, it takes the longest, you plant the seed, you water it, you tend to it, you weed it, you watch it grow. Oh, there’s some bugs. We have to fertilize it, we have to treat it. We have to, whatever. We have to work at this to make it become something more. But we also have to be invested from the beginning.
So when the Ace of Pentacles is in reverse, this beginning of one of those long journeys, it’s telling me that you’re either really having a hard time investing in just one thing and knowing that it’s going to turn out or you’re just not ready for that long journey yet. So maybe this is about taking the time to look at where we are right now and how we move forward and how we find that thing that we want to invest in. I think that’s what we need to be focused on next. How do we know what we invest in next? How do we know after we’ve rebuilt that this is something that we really want to be doing, that this is something that we were meant to do? Okay, let’s think. How do we know that this is our chapter?
Okay, well, first of all, don’t get restless. Okay? There’s no fear moving into this. I think there is going to be still that worry of whether or not it’s something that we really want for ourselves. And I think it goes back to us being able to fight for what we want. I think we have to be strong in our own beliefs, but also to understand that picking up those pieces that the tower leaves behind is not a quick process. It’s something that’s going to take your focus and your drive to be able to change those circumstances and to pick up those pieces and to build a better thing.
Because it’s really easy to get into those cycles and to keep them going. That’s another worry about that Wheel of Fortune is like, okay, you made a good choice. Maybe a bad choice comes next. So we just have to be careful that we’re not repeating the same bad choices over and over again and instead being reflective and looking at those things.
So I see that we’re not afraid of the future, but we’re really ready to just run right into it. Okay? The Four of Swords being in reverse is restlessness and struggles to just take the time that you need to take in order to keep moving forward. That inability to just wait and reflect.
This is that sign that maybe we need to take the time to be reflective because that page of Pentacles is in reverse, and that’s kind of the same idea as that Ace of Pentacles. We’re not sure what we are excited about. Here’s the good news though. The Knight of Pentacles is here, and the Knight of Pentacles is the action that follows the idea. The page is more about the ideas. So we’re struggling with the side of things where we know what we want to invest in, but once we find it, my friends, and we take the time to really know that we want to invest ourselves in this, we are not going to let anything get in our way.
We’re going to be slow and steady. We’re the tortoise over the hare, right? We’re taking our time. We’re making sure that we’re successful and we’re being meticulous, right? We’re doing whatever we need to do to be successful on this next journey. So my friends, I think this week is about slowing down. It’s about remembering that when things fall apart, it’s our opportunity to learn lessons, to fight those things that have gotten in our way from being successful. We need to just take a hard look at our life and know that the things that we are investing ourselves in are things that are going to be fruitful and are going to be positive, but we need to learn from our past mistakes in order to move forward and have that success and be certain that we’re going to be successful. Good luck this week. I’ll see you next week.
