Give yourself a moment to take a few deep breaths. You might let your awareness move down into your body, noticing what’s on the surface for you at this moment, and then maybe bringing your awareness into your heart space. You might think about something that brings you a lot of gratitude, a lot of joy in your life right now, and just let some of the warmth of this gratitude and this joyful thing move through your body. Alright, we call out to mother, father, God, the denizens of light, the deep ones, the rooted ones. We call out to the grandmothers and the grandfathers of the north, the south, the east and the west. Please be with us today, help bring forward a clear message and please support us with the perfect energy for this time. Thank you
So we are looking at the month of October, and as you’ve done in the past, you’ll use your intuition to choose one of these three cards, which will subsequently bring you to the reading for you for the month ahead. So give yourself a moment to just feel into each of these cards, noticing if one of them is calling to you this month or this time. And then once you’ve settled in to the card that is speaking to you, you can skip ahead to that particular card. We will begin with our first card right here underneath the triangle. So for those of you that will choose the first option, this will be a reading for the month of October. So I’m just going to tune in with those of you that choose this card.
So first card will be our situation card. Second card will be the obstacle, and third card will be the outcome. And this is really about the overarching learning process, the evolutionary process that’s happening in your life. So the situation tends to be what you are working on right now, what it is that’s sort of coming up in your world, what you can expect in the coming month in regards to what you are learning and growing through. The obstacle is the reciprocal energy, the energy that is pushing against you to help you in that learning process. It can also be the recurrent patterns that have gotten in the way in the past. And then our outcome is what it is that you’re learning overall from the circumstances that occur through the month. And then we’ll have our advice card up above.
So for those of you that chose this first card, let’s take a look at your situation for the month of October. So we’ve got our lovely Eight of Swords, and you’ve probably heard me talk about The Eight of Swords in the past. This tends to be a sign of feeling trapped, overwhelmed, like you’re not sure what’s going to happen next. A lot of uncertainty, fear. The story that goes along with this is there’s a castle up on the hills here that this woman is from. She’s sort of wandered away from herself. She’s gotten out of alignment with who she truly is, and as a result, she’s feeling very trapped and stuck and she doesn’t know what she can do to get out of the situation she’s gotten into. Some of you might know that we just finished the high holidays in the Jewish tradition, and the Jewish tradition during this time of year has a lot of orientation towards reparations, which doesn’t necessarily mean that we’re trying to fix something externally.
It means that we’re attempting to get into greater alignment with ourself. We’re trying to synchronize the parts of ourselves that we’ve compromised, that we’ve not been listening to. The fragmented parts of ourselves that tend to, when we’re not listening to that core truth, tend to get us into situations where now we’re like, I have no idea what to do. So for some of you, you might be experiencing a period of serious overwhelm or regret, or even just downright paralysis. There might be something in your life that is feeling just really sticky and stuck. So the movement with a car like this, some of the hints are found in the terrain. There’s muddy water down below. And so that means that there’s some sticky emotions, emotions that are not being expressed, they’re not being felt. They’re down in sort of the unconscious numb realms. And the way to start to get some fresh air and some clarity into the situation that’s going on is to bring about some downright good, authentic feeling and truth to the situation, which means talking to somebody that you can be honest with beginning to find spaces where you can feel the feelings that are going on deep down. Often this can be facilitated by a practitioner, a therapist, somebody that can hold space for you so that you can feel safe enough to get some stuff moving. This is kind of like emotional, spiritual constipation.
Alright, let’s take a look at your obstacle for the month of October. So this makes me think that really at the core area within this, so when The King of Cups is in a somewhat of a negative position in a reading, it means that there’s somebody that’s being a little bit of a drama queen, crybaby, a little bit petulant, like overly involved in their emotional struggles, their ups and downs, they’re this ways and that ways. So that could be you, but the fact that this is a big emotional watery card and our eight of swords is about sort of stuck emotions, stuck unmoving emotions. It’s quite possible that for some of you, the reason that there’s a feeling of being really stuck is you’re feeling a little bit trapped by somebody.
Somebody is creating an environmental context that is making you feel sticky, stuck, misreading your own understanding of what’s going on, not trusting yourself. So for some of you, this is likely another individual. For others it could be that you are aiming for and heading towards greater stability in your emotional life. And right now you’re experiencing a dark night before greater stability comes in. Now this is something that often happens before the emergence into a new level of clarity or a new level of stability In one’s life, things can get really mucky and really confusing and complicated. And it’s in these times that finding your roots, finding your groundedness, finding your sense of clarity, even if the waves around you are churning and moving and going in many different directions, you coming back to the deeper trust that lies beneath the surface is going to assist you.
So let’s take a look at the outcome for those of you that chose this first option. So this is really great. Four of Swords is a sign that as a result of what it is that you’re going to be growing through and learning in the month of October, you are going to get a seriously deserved respite. You’re going to get to rest quite a bit. You’re going to get to have some stillness, some silence. You might notice in The Four of Swords picture here this night, who’s been through the big challenges, the challenges of life is in a position of prayer and is in a sacred space. You can see the stained glass window up here. And so this is also a sign of being in much greater alignment with your higher self, much greater alignment with your creator, with the language, the wisdom and the guidance from the soul realm. So you’re coming out of this month that has some hecticness and some uncertainty with so much more peace, so much more clarity, so much more rest available to you at such a deep level. So let’s take a look at your advice card for the month of October.
Pretty top-notch advice card here, Ten of Cups, which is like be willing to rely on people that really know you and really get you the people that honestly love you, honestly care about you no matter what you’re going through, people that will always be there for you. And this is also in terms of your own affirmations, being clear about the kind of relational environment that you want. Who are the people maybe better than, who are the people? What do your relationships, how is it that you want your relationships to feel? How is it that you want to feel in the connections that you’re making in your life? And this Ten of Cups is a good sign. There’s such equanimity and joy and they’re just in utter praise and harmony with life in this. So both bringing your attention and your thoughts to this, but also being willing to reach out to the people that are going to support you no matter what. Alright, so for those of you that chose this first card, thank you for touching base. This was your reading for October. I look forward to connecting with you again soon. Thanks for tuning in and take good care.
Alright, so for those of you that chose our second card, this will be your reading for the month of October. So I’m just going to tune in with those of you that choose this card. All right, let’s take a look. First card is our situation card, which is the general theme of what it is you are working on through the month of October. Second card is the obstacle, which is the reciprocal energy. That’s part of your process of growing and learning through the month of October. And third card is the outcome card, which is the basic overall outcome of the events that you go through, the learning process, what it is that you’re coming out with on the other end. And then up above, you’ve got your advice card here. So for those of you that chose the second card, this will be your reading for October. Let’s take a look at your situation card for the month of October. What an auspicious card for the month of October, The Six of Wands, also known as the victory card. You can see there is a sort of mythos is a warrior returning to the city after accomplishing some great mission.
He’s got the wreath victory up above. The people in the town are celebrating him. You can see he’s filled with pride and being witnessed for what it is that he’s accomplished. So this could be a month where you’re feeling very confident, very capable. You might be in the process of finishing off something that you’ve been working really hard on. You’ve finally brought it to fruition. For some of you, this can actually be a sign of being seen by others. So maybe getting celebrated by your coworkers or celebrated by your family. It’s even possible for some of you that you are in the process of starting to get famous or get seen by the world in a new light. So this is a lot of yummy, positive, forward moving energy, energy of success, energy of accomplishment, energy of a can-do attitude. So this is really positive as an overall arching sort of process that you’re going through in the month of October.
So let’s look at some of the reciprocal energy that might be pushing up against you. We’ve got our Emperor here. And The Emperor card is all about structure, processes. It’s about the larger organizational aspects of the world. The Emperor has to manage an entire kingdom, an entire empire, which means that there’s a lot of spinning plates, constantly going. This is also fundamental masculine energy. So it kind of goes in line with our six of wands here. But being that it is in the obstacle position, it’s possible that you could start to feel like your growth, your expansion process is being curtailed by some of the organizational side of things, whether that’s a boss or a company that’s saying you have to stay within these particular boundaries. You can’t go outside of these boundaries or if it’s your own sense of staying grounded, committed, and organized could get a little bit flustered sometimes when we raise to the heights, the shadow side of The Six of Wands is actually it’s a little bit of overconfidence or sort of big headedness.
Sometimes when we start to get our successes, it’s possible that we lose track of the longer term, the bigger mission, or some of the small details that keep the boat moving. So as you start to feel your success, as you start to feel confident and capable, the big reminder here is to stay grounded. The big reminder here is that there are other individuals, there are other systems that have already been through the big battles. You can see this is a younger warrior just beginning to have his success, whereas The Emperor, you can see the armor that’s beneath his cloak. He’s been through the battles. So it could be that you’re having to learn to respect some of the old ways of doing things or some of the people that are in authority, and that there could be a little bit of a clashing between the new order and the old order.
So let’s take a look at your outcome card for the month of October. Oh boy. So The Nine of Swords is a longer term karmic pattern that surfaces in your life here and there. And I wouldn’t be terribly surprised if it has something to do with your relationship to authority. And that in the clash of authority, it brings up some deeper trauma or some deeper psychological challenges that maybe haven’t reared their head for a little while. Now, this doesn’t necessarily have to be a bad thing. When I look at The Nine of Swords, I look at this as something that you specifically came into this life to bring to resolution. It’s something that is either your own personal karma that’s a part of your spiritual journey, a familial piece of karma or a collective piece of karma because it’s big enough that it’s resurfaced multiple times. And so it’s part of your mission here in this lifetime that this comes to the surface and be brought to resolution. So it’s totally possible that A, you’re going to have a great month of feeling capable, kicking butt taking names. There could be a little bit of an authority skirmish or some challenges around organization. And as a result, you’re going to get a chance to look at something that wants to be brought to resolution in this lifetime. So let’s take a look at your advice card for the month of October.
Advice card is a reminder to celebrate. You are going to have a lot of reasons to celebrate this month. You’re going to feel really good, so enjoy yourself, take advantage of it, spend time with people that also see you and also want to celebrate the things that you’re accomplishing. Be willing to enjoy the abundance, be grateful for the abundance. Notice the beautiful things that are coming to you and give thanks. This is going to be a great month for you. There’s no doubt. So for those of you that chose the second card, thank you so much for tuning in and I look forward to connecting with you again soon. Take care.
All right, and for those of you that chose the last card underneath the cube, this is going to be your forecast reading for the month of October. So I’m just going to tune in with those of you that choose the third card. All right, let’s take a look here. So first card is the situation, which is the overall situation that you are working on through the month of October. Second card will be the reciprocal energy that is part of the process of you growing and learning in this situation. And third card will be the outcome, which is the basic outcome as a result of the events that occur through the month of October. And then the card up above is your advice card for the month of October. So let’s take a look at your first card for those of you that chose this particular third card. So your situation card for the month of October is The Eight of Wands, which often can be a sign of travel, moving around, going this way, going that way. Traditionally, a lot of people speak to this as specifically travel. So for some of you, maybe you’re going to go on some work travel or you’re going to go on vacation somewhere, or maybe even some of you are going through a process of moving.
Another way of interpreting this particular card is that something that is on its way into your life hasn’t landed yet. You’re waiting on a call from somebody. You’re waiting on that promotion that you’re about to make a huge change in one way or another, but it hasn’t quite landed yet, and you don’t have the clear answer of what it’s going to look like, how it’s going to happen. It’s a little bit up in the air, tentative energy, as you can see in the card where there are eight wands that are flying towards the ground, but they haven’t hit the ground just yet. All in all, this is a good card. It can sometimes be a little bit chaotic, but it has good movement. Things are heading in a good direction. There’s good momentum. It just hasn’t landed yet, and that can be a little bit anxiety producing for some people. It can also be exciting. Something’s on its way. Something exciting is headed towards you.
Let’s take a look at the obstacle for the month of October. So this is definitely in the realm of uncertainty. So when we talk about the gap between the wands, the wands in the air, and them touching the ground, right? There’s a gap between where they haven’t landed yet. The moon card is a great representation of what lies within that gap. The Moon card is often symbolic of the unconscious, which is that within us that we do not see. That had to be hidden away from our conscious mind in order for us to develop and grow. And so for some of you, this might show up as some misinterpretations of what’s going on in your world, feeling a little bit confused, feeling a little bit overly emotional. Feeling like life has a lot of uncertainty.
This is a time of potent creative energy, particularly if you’re willing to listen to what it is that your unconscious is trying to say to you. It is often the case that when there is big change that’s happening, it’s like there’s room for certain patterns in our life to dissolve. There’s also room for the magical realms and the unconscious realms to break through. Right? When there’s big change, our normal patterns of life get disrupted, and then we start having crazy interesting dreams, insights. We might have awakening experiences. We might have powerful, creative bursts. It’s this in-between world where the primal and the primordial can sort of reach up in between our thoughts and take hold of us. So for some of you, this can feel a little bit scary. It can feel murky. It can also feel exciting and interesting. It’s a perfect time to write down your dreams journal. Do creative processes, dance wildly beneath the full moon, this type of thing. In order to stay in touch with what it is that your life is trying to bring to the surface while you go through some transitions.
Let’s take a look at your outcome card for the month of October. So whatever it is that is in the process of landing in your life, it’s going to inform a conscious choice to start making a change. Whatever it is that’s coming in, and whatever it is that’s blooming up and out of your unconscious is going to let you know it’s time. It’s time to make the changes that you’ve been planning on making. It’s time to walk away from some pieces that maybe you’ve known for a long time. This could be individuals, this could be working world. This could just be internal ways of knowing yourself. It’s time now that it’s time to go for something that’s more meaningful, maybe something you’ve been thinking about for a long time, maybe something that is just arriving and is inspiring you to make those changes one way or another. The Eight of Cups is a clear sign. You’ve reached that moment. It’s time to grab your stick, put your cloak on, and walk up the mountain in search of something new and fresh. Let’s take a look at your advice card for the month of October.
Beautiful advice card. On the one hand, The Four of Cups is advising you to take time to just reflect. Take time to feel into yourself. Be with some of the emotions that are harder to be with, like uncertainty, boredom, depression. Give yourself room to be with these feelings without trying to push them, change them, distract yourself from them. The other piece of The Four of Cups that you’re being advised is to keep your eyes open for gifts or open doors or support that maybe is around you, but you just are not noticing it because you’re a little bit internal as things are changing and transforming. In other words, be willing to receive the support that is already around you, that’s already been given. I say this often, receive the gift that’s already been given, which means find gratitude. Notice what’s already here, notice what’s available, and resourcing you at this time. So for those of you that chose the third card, this was your reading for the month of October. Thanks so much for tuning in and for everybody, thank you for tuning in. It’s always so nice to get to sit down, feel some of this energy with you, and I look forward to connecting again in the near future. Take good care.
