Hey there friends, welcome to your Monthly Forecast Reading. This will be for the month of January, and if you’re not already feeling the electricity of transformation and change in the air, you definitely will. If not right at the end of the year, then definitely as you’re making your way into January. January is full of new possibilities, interesting integrations, and a little bit of final nipping in the buds of old energy so that you can step into something fresh and new. So, I’m excited for you to take a look at what we have in store. You can grab a reading with me or jump on my email list down below. Wherever you happen to be right now. Give yourself a moment to take a few deep breaths. Let your awareness drop down into your body and begin to let go of what’s happened so far for you today or this week or this month, and just come here into this present moment. You might bring some of your awareness into your heart space, maybe finding something that you’re grateful for or that makes you smile.

Alright, let’s take a look. We call out to Mother, Father, God, the Angels, the Denizens of Light. We call out to the deep ones, the rooted ones. Please be with us now. Call out to the grandmothers and the grandfathers of the north, the south, the east, and the west. So, as you’ve seen in the past, you’ll be using your intuition to choose one of these cards here, which you can then skip forward and find the reading that is specific to you for the month of January. So give yourself a moment, take a look and feel into each of these cards. See which of them is speaking to you at this time. Trust your intuition. Alright, once you’ve determined which card you’re going to choose, you can skip ahead. 

FIRST CARD

We’re going to begin with our first card for the month of January. So, for those of you that chose this first card, this is going to be your reading for the month ahead. So just a moment, I’m going to tune in with those of you that choose the first card. All right. The first card is going to be the situation card, which is the overall area of learning, growth and development that’s happening in your life at this time. This can look like specific circumstances or larger arcs that you are going through and will be going through in the month of January. Second card is the obstacle, which is the reciprocal energy, the energy that’s pushing against, what it is that you’re learning right now, what it is that you’re growing through. Sometimes this can look like literal obstacles, other times it can look like the energies that are pushing against you, helping you to become stronger, helping you to integrate what needs integration. And, our third card is the outcome, which is an overall look at what it is you’ll be coming out the other side of January with, the lessons that you’ve learned and perhaps some of the information of what you’ll be stepping into next. And then, of course, up above we’ve got our advice card. 

So, let’s take a look at your first card situation for the month of January. Seems pretty appropriate considering we’ll be stepping into the New Year. We’ve got our Fool card, which means you could be stepping into a very fresh perspective as you enter this New Year. This can feel exciting, it can feel bountiful. You might be feeling sort of clear-eyed and bushy tailed as you enter this New Year. There can also be a little bit of uncertainty or naivete as you’re stepping forward. So, for some of you, this might look like literally feeling like you’ve cleared some of your past and you’re stepping heartily into a new phase in your life. You might not even know what that is. It’s possible that you are in the process of entering a new career or a new relationship. This could also just be a psychological or spiritual refresh that you’re going to be experiencing. 

Let’s take a look at what the obstacle is to stepping into this new phase for you. So, your obstacle card for the month of January is The Star card, and this is a pretty good obstacle card. Often The Star card is a sign of greater maturity, wisdom, learning to listen to your higher insight and your wisdom. When it’s in the obstacle position, it can sometimes be a sign that there’s a little bit of struggle finding that higher insight, finding that guidance and being willing to trust it and move forward. The Star is a sign that somebody has been through the challenges of life and is now available to listen to the higher context that surrounds them. Sometimes when we haven’t been through enough experiences our ego or our will thinks it knows what’s right and so we keep banging our head against walls that are not trying to open up. But, at a certain point we start to go, “You know what? I’m going to surrender to the divine plan. I’m going to surrender to my higher self and be willing to listen to that”. So, particularly in these very fresh moments, stepping into brand new experience, it’s so important to be willing to listen to the wisdom that you’ve cultivated through time and open yourself to the higher context, to the higher information that wants to come through. 

So, taking a look at your outcome card for the month of January, this is just such a powerful, you’ve got three Major Arcana cards showing up for the beginning of 2024. That is such a powerful and important thing that’s going on here. So specifically the Justice card, something is karmically coming back into balance. If you have been through a challenging 2023 or you’ve been through some really unfair experiences in your life, this is going to be, the start of January is a sign that things are starting to balance out. You are going to start to get the benefit of where you may have taken missteps in the past or where people have taken advantage of you in the past. Particularly if you have been doing good work, you’ve been doing good work on yourself, you’ve been fair and balanced with others, this is a sign that there is a healthy upswing that you’re going to start to experience and start to see in the month of January. 

Alright, let’s take a look at your advice card for the month of January. (Six of Wands) Advice is to be confident, to believe in yourself, to allow yourself to receive the accolades from those around you that are starting to see you and say yes to you. This is the victory card. It is saying trust that you are moving in the right direction. Trust that you are taking the steps that are necessary. You can do this, you are doing great and expect more beauty and bounty to be heading your way.

SECOND CARD

Alright, so we’ll now be moving to the second choice. So, for those of you that chose the second card with a little triangle like shape here, this is going to be your reading for the month of January. So I’m just going to tune in with those of you that choose the second card.

All right, first card is the situation, which is the overall context and general arc of what it is that you’re learning right now that will likely carry into January. This can be specifics, it can also be sort of developmental arcs around what it is that you’re learning at this time. Second card is the obstacle card, which is the reciprocal energy, that energy that’s pushing against your learning process. As you well know from previous readings, this tends to be an energy that is helping you to develop, to grow. It can sometimes feel painful, at other times it can be more graceful. And then our final card is our outcome card for the month of January. The overall outcome of what it is you’ll be learning through the month, what you can imagine or what you can expect will start to integrate and maybe some information about what you’ll be heading into next.

So, let’s begin with your situation card for the month of January. This is a lovely situation card. The Strength card is all about your internal integrity, your bravery on the inside, your willingness to stay aligned with what is really true inside of yourself, regardless of what’s going on on the outside. So, sometimes this card can show up when you are in a context where there is injustice and you might be feeling pressured in a work situation, in a relationship situation, or just a general life circumstance where something or someone is putting pressure on you or asking you to step outside of your integrity. And the Strength card is saying remain true to who you are. Remain true to your values, remain true to what is at your deepest core. This is also a card of compassion and gentleness. So for some of you, this could be a month of coming into contact with trauma aspects inside of yourself or more primal elements of yourself. And, it’s encouraging you to bring compassion to yourself, bring compassion to the situations around you, remain true, remain in integrity, have strong boundaries, but also have compassion. Use your heart, let your heart be part of the process regardless of what it is that you’re going through right now. 

Let’s take a look at your obstacle card, which might be pressing up against some of what you’re seeing here in the Strength card. So, obstacle card is the Ten of Wands, and this is pretty straightforward. This means that there can be a sense of overwhelm, massive responsibility of feeling like you are carrying a gigantic load, just like our friend here in the picture. Now, sometimes on the positive end, this means that there’s responsibility that also has great reward. But when it’s in the obstacle position, it might be that you’re feeling fried, burnt out, like you’ve taken on too much or like you’re being expected to sort of carry the whole load for everyone else. And, this is perfect. Are you willing to hold what is in integrity for you? Which might mean saying no sometimes, which might mean disappointing people sometimes, which might mean being willing to speak up for yourself when something feels like it’s unfair. So, that’s one possibility. Another possibility is that you’re going to need to use some of your tenacity to manage what is going on in your life. It may not be that you are dealing with something that’s unjust, but rather you’re just needing to buckle down and create some better organization. Get clarified about where it is that your attention needs to be one way or another. The challenge for this particular period appears to be dealing with overwhelm, defining what it is that’s right for you and staying in your integrity, speaking up if you need to. 

So, outcome for the month of January. This is actually a really lovely thing. So we’ve got our Hierophant. Once again, two Major Arcana cards really showing that this stepping into the New Year is going to be a profound shift. So, The Hierophant card is being willing to truly go inward, to find your wisdom, to find your guiding light, to listen to the depth and wisdom within. Now, this can sometimes look like a lonely period, and I wouldn’t be terribly surprised. There’s something that I’m feeling in the relationship between these two here, where there could be a sense of sacrificing or martyring oneself in order to stay in high regard with others. In other words, being willing to step outside of your integrity or compromise yourself so that you can still feel sort of safe within whatever relationships within whatever work contexts. And, this is saying it’s time to pull your energy back into yourself so you can listen to the wisdom that is deep inside of you. Now, sometimes this means taking a look at spiritual traditions, spiritual guides, teachers, that sort of thing. But more than anything it’s saying, can you really get aligned with what’s true inside of yourself? And, it’s looking like what’s happening this month is going to really bloom some of these qualities for you. 

Let’s take a look at your advice card for the month of January. (Seven of Pentacles) This is great. So, the month of January is a good time to be doing a little bit of reflection on where it is that you’re putting your attention, where it is that you are investing your energy. So you can see here in the picture that the seven coins are representative of something that could turn into a harvest, could bloom into something good. This could be a job, it could be a relationship, but there’s uncertainty. This guy’s really questioning is this where I want to be putting my work and my attention? Is this how I want to be spending my energy? Is this the right thing for me? So, the advice for the month of January is to give yourself enough room that you can do some assessment, you can do some analysis of where it is that you are right now, whether this is relationships or work or anything else. Give yourself room to check in with the deeper wisdom within. Stay in integrity here and some of this overwhelm might start to sort itself out when you get clear about where it is that you really want to be.

THIRD CARD

Alright so, we’ll be moving into our third choice. So for those of you that chose this third card underneath the cuboidal structure there, this will be your reading for the month of January. So I’m just going to tune in with those of you that choose the third option. 

All right so, we’ve got our situation card here, which is the overall context of what it is that you’re learning, what you’re growing with as you’re making your way into January and through January. This can be longer life lessons, it can be more specific items in general, it has to do with your own developmental process at a soul level. Second card is the obstacle card, which is the reciprocal energy, the energy that’s pushing against this developmental process that you’re going through Often, this is something that’s making you stronger, that’s helping you to more precisely define yourself in the process of growth. And the final card is your outcome card, which will give you a general overview of what it is that you’ve learned as a result of the month of January, and perhaps some information about what it is that you’re stepping into next. And then up above got our advice card.

So, let’s begin with the situation for the month of January. We’ve got our Six of Coins here. Now, sometimes the Six of Coins is interpreted as doing philanthropic work, giving to charities, supporting others, helping others in a certain way. And, there definitely is an element to this you can see that there are two individuals that are dressed as if they are poorer or lower on the economic scales. And then, there’s this sort of wealthy individual who’s giving some coins over. But what you might notice is that the coins are imbalanced. There are two coins over this individual while there are three over this one. And this guy is giving him coins specifically rather than giving this guy coins. And then, in the traditional Rider Waite, this guy is actually dressed better than this guy. And so there’s an element of discernment about where it is that you are investing your attention, where it is that you are investing your money, how it is that you are putting energy into your health, into the way that you’re living your life. There’s a strong quality of, are you doing the things that are going to pay you back, that are going to bring you returns in the future? So for some of you, this might look like getting curious about how it is that you’re spending your time each day, where you’re putting your attention. It can be exactly in the realm of finances and how it is that you are investing your money, whether that’s investing in the expenses of your month to month expenses or actual investments in different markets. So, this is a time of really being clear about how it is that you are investing time, energy, money in life. This can also be in relationships in terms of, are you putting attention on something that’s going to grow and become something more or are you sort of being a little too flippant with your time and your love?

So, let’s take a look at what the obstacle is for the month of January. Yeah, okay so, obstacle card for the month of January is the Seven of Cups here. And, this can be a time where there are a lot of choices and a lot of options. And, it also tends to indicate particularly when it’s in an obstacle position, that you might be spending attention, money, energy, on superfluous things, on scams, on things that are not very valuable, things that are cheap or end up being sort of runarounds or time wasters. So, the obstacle here is, are you able to get precise about where you’re putting your time and attention? While there are a lot of distractions going on, whether that’s distractions on your phone or in media or those are distractions because you’re talking to people that don’t have your best interest in mind or you’re allowing yourself to go down rabbit holes that really aren’t helping you. This is definitely something to be wary of. And particularly, with the amount of scams that are out there right now, sometimes the Seven of Cups is a sign of coming into contact with people that are trying to dupe you. So keep your eyes open for the dragons out there, for the false gold, for the ungrounded power, for the false belief in having great wisdom without being connected with what’s in front of you. Keep your eyes open for things that are fool’s gold. 

Now let’s take a look at your outcome card for the month of January. This is pretty good. Sometimes The Empress, I’m sorry, The Priestess can be an indication of secrets or things that are being hidden away. So particularly, if you’re getting lost in some of this and you’re not feeling like you’re finding your discernment about where you should be putting your attention, this can end up as being a little bit of a negative situation where you’re feeling like you can’t trust yourself, you’re feeling like you can’t trust others. Now, on the flip side, if you’re able to get your discernment down, you’re starting to invest your time, your energy, your attention in the right directions. In other words, no longer investing it in this lower echelon of things, but starting to get into wise insight, true esoteric wisdom, your own sort of internal understanding, then you’re coming into contact with the positive side of The Priestess, which is esoteric wisdom, the keeper of the deep secrets, embodied wisdom. You’re coming into contact with the part of yourself that knows things without or knows things deeply and knows things at sort of a core or soul level. She traverses between the conscious and the unconscious world. So, really putting your attention on where it is that you are investing your time, energy, and attention could open a doorway to your deep inner knowing. 

Alright, so let’s take a look at your advice card for the month of January. Oh, advice card is The Moon card. This means being willing to engage with your unconscious, being willing to engage with the parts of yourself that are hungry and therefore reaching for this false food. False food as in like, “Oh, if I buy this then I’ll feel okay. Or if I only knew this, then I would feel safe or if I just had more power.” Or getting stuck in addictions, what is it in you that’s hungry in your unconscious that you can begin to feed with love, that you can start to bring attention to, that you can start integrating into your life? Now, this might look like doing some good journaling, artistic work, creative expression. Definitely write down your dreams throughout the month of January because something deep in the wisdom of who you are is trying to speak to you.
