Hello my friends, it is Deco back again for a Weekly Tarot Reading, and if you are watching this the day that it arrives in your inbox, then that means it is New Year’s Eve, which means we are right in that window of entering this new portal. We’re about to walk through this new door, enter this new chapter, however you want to look at it. I want you to look at this year as an opportunity to start fresh, an opportunity for new beginnings, an opportunity to really show up for yourself this year and to do what’s best for you. Excuse me. Alright, so this reading is for the week of January 30, sorry December 31st through January 6th. Pretty crazy that this year is already over. It feels like it just started. I know for myself and a lot of people that I know, I feel like the year of 2023 was a really challenging year, especially the second half. So I’m really excited for this New Year. I know a lot of people who are watching this are probably just as excited as I am, so let’s find out what we need to know for this week, but also for this year. What do we need to know? This young lady, she seriously wants some attention. All right, let’s find out what you need to know, my friends. 

Alright, so this is where everything gets started, my friends, we have forward motion. The Chariot is telling me that we have this opportunity to move forward and to keep our eyes on the future. However, here’s where we need to maybe take a little step back. The Magician is in reverse, and so is the Ace of Pentacles in reverse, which is telling me you’re not feeling super ready for this year. Maybe you don’t have a plan for where you want to go or what your goals are in life, or what you want to invest in and so now is the time to think about forward momentum, forward movement, but also to think about where you want to be at the end of this year. I don’t know that I necessarily believe in the whole New Year’s resolution thing, but I do think that there’s an opportunity for us to start again, start fresh. We’ve talked already about that portal, this door that we’re about to walk through, and I think what we need to consider is we can be a little bit more methodical in how we move through this year and how we move forward, how we show up for ourselves and know that the things that we’re investing in are things that are worth investing in, things that we’re excited about. 

Now let’s pull some more cards and see what else we need to know for this year, maybe relationships or maybe just opportunities. What do we need to know? Okay, interesting. So guys, I really feel like this is the year to challenge yourself, okay? To try to become more in tune with who you really are. The High Priestess is here and it’s in reverse, and The High Priestess being in reverse is telling me you’re not trusting yourself. Maybe that’s part of why you’re struggling to plan for the future because you’re not sure that your goals are the right goals, or maybe you think that someone else’s idea for you is a better idea than what you had for yourself. But, I think that you need to trust yourself. Trust that inner guidance that we all have inside of us, because when The High Priestess is in reverse, we really aren’t trusting the process. We’re not trusting this collective consciousness that we have around us where we can tap into the ideas of people around us. In fact, you might even be pushing those people away a little bit. You might be comparing yourself to the people around you, when really I think that this year is the time to take a hard look at all of those beliefs that we have in ourselves, but also in how we allow other people to manipulate our path. 

Again, you have this opportunity to move forward with The Chariot, and I don’t think you’re going to let anybody get in your way, but I do think, again, that there’s this little seed of doubt that if you don’t address it early on, has the potential of sidetracking your progress and sidetracking the potential outcome that you have for yourself. So, I think that we need to take a hard look at the chapter that we’re in and decide what’s been holding us back right now so that coming into this New Year, we can start addressing things head on and again, not letting other people get in our way. 

Looking at the numerology in here too, we’ve got a 9, we’ve got a 3, and we’ve got an Ace. So that essentially is a 13. When we look at 13 in the Major Arcana, that is Death, my friends, and Death is about an ending, closing a door, thinking about all of the lessons that you’ve learned from closing that door. But, it’s definitely meaning that something has ended in your life, and while it might be painful, it’s necessary because after Death comes Temperance and Temperance is that feeling of balance, that feeling like everything is in your control. So, I feel like the door that we need to close here is this feeling of self-doubt, this feeling of comparison, this feeling of letting other people get in our way of our goals or this inability to see that we are capable of doing so much more for ourselves. So, my friends, if there’s anything that we need to address right now, it’s that you have an opportunity here to really trust and to really do something really good for you. 

Okay, now let’s pull an Oracle. I think I pulled one the last time I did a reading for you guys. If not, then, Oracles are a little bit different than Tarot. But, I love this particular deck because it really gives a good idea of how to move forward. So what else do we need to know? Okay. I love this. This is such an interesting card. It’s called The Seas of Mintaka, “Seeing potential. Bringing unconsciousness to light.” And, what I look at this as, is there is something deep down that you are feeling called to do, some tug that you’re feeling like, ‘This is what I’ve always wanted.” And, maybe you’re not thinking about that all the time, like you’re content in your day-to-day life, but there’s something deep down that you think, “Oh, if I could just do this, things would be different, if I could just do this. I have this gut feeling that things would change or things would improve.” Or, things would whatever. But this card is saying, this is where you need to trust yourself. Remember, we’re struggling to really trust ourselves with that High Priestess in reverse and to feel like our intuition is spot on and accurate and good for us. And, I think that we need to remember that whatever inklings we’re feeling for ourselves, we need to listen to. We need to bring those things to light, make them reality instead of just this dream that you have for yourself. 

So really the question is how are you going to make your dreams come true this year? What dreams have you had that you’ve been putting off or setting aside because there seems to be something else that needs your attention? Or maybe you don’t think you’re going to be successful. You know what? If you believe you’re successful, you can make it happen. Make those dreams reality. I think that’s our challenge this year is to look at all of those things that we’ve been setting to the side and engaging in them now. Okay, best of luck.
